Inguiomer

He was the brother of the Cheruscan »princeps« Segimer and therefore Arminius’ uncle.
At first he was part of the pro-Roman Cherusci, just like Segestes, but then he soon joined Arminius’ rebellion. In 15 and 16 AD he led the Germanic forces in their fight against Caecina Severus’ and Germanicus’ Roman troops, but without any decisive victories.

In 17 AD there was a conflict between the two Germanic leaders Arminius and Marbod, the »princeps« of the Marcomanni. In this situation Inguiomer changed alliances again and joined Marbod.
