The Bructeri
The Germanic Bructeri lived along the river Ems. The Frisii and the Chauci were their neighbours.
In 12 BC they were defeated by Roman troops who were led by Drusus. In 9 AD they joined Arminius and fought together with the Cherusci against the Roman conquerors – but this time they were successful.
