Special offers for children (age 5 - 14)

Would you like to go on an adventurous time-travel into the past on your birthday? Then you are most welcome in our museum. We have several programmes for different age groups.

1. Archaeology for children

Age 5 - 9
Don’t be scared of dirty hands!
During a »little excavation«, you can draw secrets from the soil.   
 

2. Story telling – experience history

Age 6 - 11

A vivid story and a mysterious »treasure chest« will take you to a time long past. 

3. Not only battles and wars

Age 6 - 14

Who wants to find out more about the life of the Roman and Germanic people? Here you will learn about how they lived and played, for example.  

4. A fiery experience

Age 10 - 14

Light a fire without a lighter or matches! A hands-on experience.

5. Lucky charms from Kalkriese

Age 10 - 14

 How did Germanic people make pieces of jewellery from horn? Have a go!

With programme 4 and 5, there will be an additional cost of 1 € per child for material.  

For foodies

The restaurant VARUSSCHLACHT offers school classes, children and youth groups appropriate meals for their excursions on Roman and Germanic tracks: special menus for children or a snack following Roman recipes help to relieve hunger in the Botanicum
