Soil Treasures – Stories from the Underground
Our special exhibition »Treasures of the Soil – Stories from the Underground« takes you on a field trip into the earth. From May 25, 2012 until November 18, 2012, this big join-in event for the entire family will introduce visitors to the fascinating world beneath our feet.

Sander, Lower Saxony’s minister for the environment, opened the new theme walk at the museum park. Without soil, Kalkriese probably wouldn’t exist. Now the ground grants us an in-depth look into it. The new round tour about the topic »soil« adds another attraction to Museum und Park Kalkriese’s information and adventure program.

Summer Opening Hours
Summer opening hours apply from April 1st 2012 until October 31st 2012 h: the museum is open dayly 10.00am to 6pm. Public guided tours are on offer dayly at 2.30pm, Sundays and public holidays at 11.00am and 2.30pm.
